Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter & art theorist, regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. Mondrian was a founder of the De Stijl movement, which was based on reductive theory and a complete rejection of traditional figurative art. He coined the phrase "Neoplasticism" which is exemplified in his minimal work containing only directional lines, primary values & colours.
